The Story Behind the Artwork

The Petronas Twin Towers are among the most recognizable landmarks in Asia and have become a symbol of modern Malaysia. Rising above the heart of Kuala Lumpur, they represent ambition, innovation and the rapid transformation of a city that connects cultures from around the world.

During a stopover in Kuala Lumpur, I could not resist the temptation to create a new planet around these iconic towers. At the time, the Little Big World project was still in its early years, and every new destination felt like an opportunity to expand the collection beyond France.

The park surrounding the towers was filled with visitors, families and tourists enjoying the evening atmosphere. Nearby, decorations celebrating the Chinese New Year added a special energy to the scene. I waited patiently for the right moment, surrounded by the sounds and excitement of the city.

Unlike many of my other planets, this artwork was photographed entirely by hand. Without a tripod and working in changing light conditions, the creation of the final image required both precision during the capture and extensive work during post-production.

The result became my very first international planet.

More than a representation of Kuala Lumpur, this artwork marks an important milestone in the Little Big World journey. It symbolizes the moment when a project born in Lyon began to explore the wider world, transforming distant cities into miniature universes connected by imagination and travel.

Shipping rates are calculated according to the delivery country selected at checkout. For selected DDP destinations, import duties and taxes are prepaid and included in the shipping rate displayed. For other destinations, local import duties, taxes or courier clearance fees may be charged before delivery.

Each print is produced on demand by a professional fine art printing partner and shipped directly to the collector. Depending on the delivery country, production may take place in the UK, the USA or the European Union.

Frame and mounting are not included. This allows each collector to choose their own framing style locally, according to their interior, country and personal preference.
