With its train station, towers, lights and constant movement, it represents a modern and cosmopolitan side of Lyon, far from the historic atmosphere of the old town.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhen I created this planet in 2017, I wanted to capture the energy of a district in transformation. The towers, the station and the evening lights gave the scene a futuristic atmosphere, almost like a city engine glowing at night.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eI worked on this image over several evenings, waiting for the perfect balance between blue hour, reflections and urban light. The final planet reminded me of a helmet, something electronic and musical, with a visual energy that brought Daft Punk to mind.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eWhat makes this artwork particularly special today is that part of the scene no longer exists. Since this photograph was created, the station forecourt and pedestrian access areas have been completely redesigned. The central entrance visible at the heart of the planet has disappeared, making this artwork a visual record of a moment in Lyon’s urban history.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"isSelectedEnd\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003ePlanète Part-Dieu became one of the most iconic artworks of the Little Big World collection.
