At its centre stands a Buddha statue that quietly watches over the temple grounds.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen I created this planet, I was going through a difficult period of transition. I had recently settled in Cambodia and was facing many challenges: adapting to a new culture, a different way of life, unfamiliar food, and the disappointment of hopes that had not unfolded as expected.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eA few days earlier, my business had finally been approved and I could see new opportunities appearing on the horizon. Yet despite this positive momentum, I felt the need to reconnect with something deeper and more peaceful.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLiving nearby, I often visited Wat Tang Korsang. What fascinated me was the feeling of standing at the centre of the temple, surrounded by trees, silence and spirituality. I returned before sunrise and waited patiently for the first rays of light to reach the Buddha statue. The challenge was not only technical, but also artistic. The Place de la Comédie is constantly busy, and it took several visits before I could capture the scene with the balance and openness I was looking for.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhat fascinated me was the relationship between the Opera House, the City Hall and the surrounding public space. Once transformed into a planet, the image revealed something unexpected. The shape seemed to take flight, almost like a bird suspended in the sky above Lyon.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eUnlike many of my planets, this artwork is intentionally off-centre. This creative choice allowed the architecture to breathe and gave the final composition a sense of movement and freedom. In fact, the very first Little Big World planet I ever created was photographed here in 2014. What started as a simple panoramic experiment unexpectedly revealed an entirely new artistic universe and became the foundation of a project that would later grow across multiple countries and continents.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThree years later, I returned to Bellecour with a new vision.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI wanted to create a planet worthy of the scale and symbolism of the location itself. To achieve this, I chose to photograph the square on May 1st, one of the rare days when this usually busy public space becomes almost completely empty. The conditions were perfect: soft blue tones in the sky, moving clouds and an unusual sense of calm at the heart of the city.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIn this miniature world, Louis XIV rises between earth and sky like a timeless guardian. At the time, the Little Big World project was still in its early years, and every new destination felt like an opportunity to expand the collection beyond France.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe park surrounding the towers was filled with visitors, families and tourists enjoying the evening atmosphere. Nearby, decorations celebrating the Chinese New Year added a special energy to the scene. In the case of Terreaux, I had to wait nearly two years. Renovation works, multiple visits and countless tests prevented me from achieving the image I had imagined.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI knew exactly what I wanted: the Bartholdi Fountain dominating the centre of the composition while the surrounding architecture reflected around it like a protective crown. The challenge was finding the right balance between the square, the water, the reflections and the unique geometry that would emerge once transformed into a planet.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWhen the conditions finally aligned, the result exceeded my expectations. The fountain became the heart of a powerful miniature world, while the reflections of the surrounding buildings created an almost organic texture across the surface of the sphere.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eToday, this artwork stands alongside Planète Bellecour as one of the defining pieces of my Lyon collection. Unlike many of my planets, the entire image was photographed handheld in a busy environment. Technically, it is only a tiny detail. For me, it became something much more meaningful. We explored several Buddhist temples that day, but Dhammikarama Burmese Temple left a particularly strong impression on me.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe temple is composed of different areas, but it was the second courtyard that truly inspired me. At its centre, I found a point that immediately felt right for a Little Big World planet. The space had a natural balance, with architecture, light and spirituality arranged around a quiet central axis.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eI had not planned to create a planet that day. I had no tripod with me, but the daylight was strong enough to allow me to photograph the scene handheld. As often happens during travel, the image was born from intuition rather than preparation.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSymbolically, I see in this planet a figure walking toward a brighter and more spiritual future.
